Some people are allergic to metals other than nickel in their earrings. For those people whose ears are still reacting to nickel-free earrings, silver and gold earrings are usually a safe bet. Though these metals are more expensive than other materials, the allergy rate for gold and silver is very low compared to other, less expensive "filler" metals. If nickel-free earrings don't do the trick, consider investing in a more expensive pair of earrings in order to give your ears a break from pain, redness, and swelling - accessories that don't look or feel good at all.
Why So: A boat neck is meant to make your shoulders do the talking. But does that mean a necklace has no place in an outfit with a boat neck? Au contraire, the perfect way to glam up an otherwise simplistic boat neck is to play with something simple and elegant (read: thin chain) or something truly extravagant like a bold, statement neckpiece. The choice should depend on the formality of the occasion that you're wearing it to.
Place the leather tape on the work table and apply a line of fabric glue on the edges of the leather tape. Now place the sequin trim over the leather tape and hold it firmly in place. After 3-4 minutes, the sequin trim will be firmly glued on the leather tape. Fold the top and bottom ends of the leather tape about half an inch from the edges and glue the edges together. Now cut a small piece of metallic cord and make a small loop with it. Attach the metallic cord on one end of the leather tape. Sew the metallic button on the other end of the leather tape. Your sequin cuff is ready and you can wear it on your wrist.
When you get involved with jewelry making, experience is always a plus. In case you are not inspired, then you should make sure to have close at hand specific patterns to work on and, if possible, a tutorial to help you through the process, particularly if you are a beginner. Concerning the beadwork patterns, make a simple choice if you are a novice. You will also need thread, i.e. beading thread. Don't use sewing thread or dental floss - they will break easily. Many bead makers favor C-Lon and Nymo types of beading thread. They are fairly resistant, even in high humidity circumstances. In addition, beading needles are a must: you will use them to pass the thread through the beads.
